I am now collecting meat from Combe Martin Abattoir up to two times a week. The abattoir has improved massively under the new owners, who have invested heavily in the premises after years of neglect.
Please do not take animals to the abattoir without booking them into my diary first.
If your animals are killed at Combe Martin getting them to me could not be simpler. Either they could deliver it to me at South Molton, or I could collect your meat in a refrigerated van, which I have at my disposal. Either way, you can still get your meat cut by me, and, for many of you, picking up your meat from my new premises is simpler.
If not, then as always, we can arrange to meet either at Blackmoor Gate, Lynton Cross or Mullacott Cross to return your meat.

We aim to cut and pack your meat to your exact specification.
I have over 40 year’s butchery experience, starting out as a butcher's lad in a small local butchers. I progressed to managing shops, eventually running my own retail butchery business for some 20 years.
We offer the following services:
I am fully committed and passionately believe in promoting locally sourced meat. I aim to help you achieve the best outcome from your stock.
Some of my customers have chosen to have their animals slaughtered at Stillmans Abattoir, Taunton 01823 283576. The remainder still use Combe Martin as it is more convenient and reduces mileage.
After slaughter, your animals will be delivered back to me at South Molton. One thing you must do before contacting Stillmans, is to contact me to ensure that I have an available slot to butcher your animals.
As usual, after butchery, you can either collect from South Molton, or I can arrange to meet you in Barnstaple, Bideford or Instow, on my way home, as I have done in the past.
All meat must be paid for upon collection by either cash or cheque. I have no card processing facilities. BACS payments welcomed, by prior arrangement.
